Glass found in beer; recall issued

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - North American Breweries is voluntarily recalling some beer after small particles of glass were found in bottles.

This affects 74 six-pack cases of Labatt Blue Light sold after May 11 in Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Muskegon and Ostego counties. They have the code E10 on the bottle label and carton.

The Detroit Free Press reports the condition was discovered by Labatt Breweries of Canada, which produces the beer that North American Breweries sells in the United States. The company then alerted wholesalers. A glass supplier caused the problem.
