MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - Muskegon Department of Public Safety told 24 Hour News 8 that a clerk fought back against the suspect during a "strong-arm robbery."
It happened just before 8 a.m. Sept. 7 at the Admiral gas station, 11 E. Muskegon Ave.
The female clerk was physically assaulted and suffered non-serious injuries, police said.
The suspect stole the cash register and possibly fled the scene in a getaway vehicle driven by someone else, police said.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot tall, middle-aged black man having a medium build, a bald head, and wearing all black clothing at the time.
Police on Sept. 20 released surveillance video (featured above) of the suspect walking into the store.
