CEDAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Fire destroyed an old schoolhouse in Muskegon County Friday afternoon.

A passerby noticed the flames and called 911.

Firefighters arrived at around 12:30 p.m. to the building near N. Maple Island Road and Bayne Road in Cedar Creek Township.

Nobody was inside the one-room schoolhouse, which was more than 100 years old.

It is unknown at this time how the fire started.
