FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Three people are in jail, accused of breaking into businesses and vehicles in Muskegon County.
The males have not been identified yet, pending their arraignment.
The businesses were Teddy Spaghetti's, 3032 Heights Ravenna Road, and Island Sun Tanning Salon, 4642 Airline Road, both in Fruitport Township.
The vehicles were in residential neighborhoods, also in Fruitport Township.
Police do not have details of the arrests at this time.
One of the suspects told investigators the group was specifically seeking unlocked vehicles and businesses that they believed did not have surveillance systems, according to a news release.
The suspects may also be responsible for other criminal activity in the area.
Officers from the Fruitport Township Police Department, Michigan State Police, Muskegon Township Police Department and Muskegon County Sheriff's Department assisted with the case.
