Booze, golf clubs, cash taken at course

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - Thieves twice broke into a Muskegon golf course clubhouse in the span of an hour late Monday night, police said.

The suspects are three white males in their late teens to mid-20s, according to the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department. One of them was wearing a black T-shirt with the word Guinness printed across chest in green color. No other descriptions are available at this time.

The suspects approached the Lincoln Golf Club building at 10:15 p.m. and saw an employee still inside. The suspects parked their getaway vehicle on the shoulder of Lorenson Road west of the golf course and waited until the employee left at 10:30 p.m.

The suspects then forced opened a door on the south end of the building to gain access, police said.

The suspects stole some items and loaded their vehicle, police said.

The suspects then moved their vehicle closer to the clubhouse and parked near the golf carts, and again entered the clubhouse about an hour later, police said.

In all, the suspects stole 14 cases of beer, 14 bottles of liquor, a set of Adams golf clubs and an undetermined amount of money, police said.
