Another surgery success for Charlotte

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WOOD) - A West Michigan girl who was attacked by a raccoon as a baby underwent another phase of reconstructive surgery Friday to repair severe damage to her face.
Ten-year-old Charlotte Ponce had her fifth surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
Charlotte's family says this was the final surgery to reconstruct her nose and it was a complete success.
Charlotte was discharged Saturday from the hospital and will be back in school back in early 2013.
Charlotte was only 3 months old when her biological parents' pet raccoon climbed into her crib and mauled her. Her biological parents lost custody, and Charlotte's great aunt and uncle adopted her and her brother. They now live in Spring Lake.
