MUSKEGON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man is facing numerous charges after fighting with officers following a foot pursuit, and having a stolen gun and stolen car in his possession.

Terry Raap, 26, was wanted for parole absconding and maintaining a methamphetamine lab, prior to this latest encounter with authorities.

Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched at 10:40 p.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Maple Court in Muskegon Township looking for Raap regarding the previous charges.

Raap tried to run out the back door of a mobile home, police said in a news release, but a trooper immediately tackled him and a struggle ensued.

A Muskegon Township officer arrived at the scene and used a stun gun on Raap, who was taken into custody.

During the struggle, a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun was dislodged from Raap's possession. The gun had been reported stolen a few days earlier from a vehicle in Laketon Township, police said.

Also recovered nearby was a 2001 Ford Taurus that had been stolen from the Ann Arbor area. Raap had the keys to this vehicle in his pocket.
