MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - A former high school paraprofessional accused of assaulting male students has entered a no contest plea.
Mike D'Oyly, formerly a paraprofessional with the Mona Shores choir, engaged in inappropriate contact with students between August 2008 and December 2011. He pleaded no contest to two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The plea entered Thursday during a pre-trial conference was part of a deal, according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office.
In exchange for the plea, three charges of fourth-degree CSC will be dropped. Additionally, the judge agreed to set sentencing guidelines specifying between 29 months to 15 years in prison.
Sentencing is set for Oct. 9.
