Frank Harris, 33, was shot in front of his home around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 15 when he went outside to break up a fight.
He was placed on life support pending donation of his organs. 24 Hour News 8 learned of his death on Tuesday.
Craig Reginald Lewis was arrested by Detroit Police Wednesday on one count of felony homicide. He remains lodged in the Wayne County Jail, according to the Muskegon Count Prosecutor's Office.
A warrant was issued for Lewis's arrest two days after the shooting. Original charges listed in the warrant were assault with intent to murder, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and being a habitual offender (fourth offense).
