MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - A man arrested in Detroit for allegedly shooting a Muskegon Heights man in the head has been arraigned on five charges connected to the homicide.
Craig Lewis was arraigned in a Muskegon court on Friday on one count of open murder, two counts of felony firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of being a habitual offender (fourth offense).
Lewis allegedly shot Frank Harris, 33, outside Harris's Muskegon Heights home in the early hours of Aug. 15. Harris had apparently exited his homeĀ to break up a fight when he was shot.
He was taken to a Muskegon hospital, where he was placed on life support pending donation of his organs. 24 Hour News 8 learned of his death on Aug. 28.
Lewis was arrested in Detroit for the crime the next day -- two weeks to the day after Harris was shot.
Friday, a judge denied Lewis bond.
Lewis should be back in court on Sept. 6.
