NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WOOD) - A warrant was issued for a man believed to be connected with the slaying of a Muskegon man during a fight early Saturday.
Robert Lewis Burnett II, 27, is wanted for possessing a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent. Investigators also want to talk with him about what happened during a gang fight last weekend.
Burnett, who is 6' tall and 305 pounds, is also known as Slime Money.
Around 2:10 a.m. Saturday, about 100 people were fighting in the street outside the Comcast offices in the 700 block of West Broadway. Witnesses told police the fight began after Roosevelt Gamble, 23, was assaulted and suffered severe head injuries.
During that assault, Timothy Thomas, 25, was shot in the neck. He was taken by a witness to Hackley Hospital, but died from his injuries.
Also, a 22-year-old Muskegon man was shot in the leg by an apparent bullet richochet. He was treated and released at Hackley.
A reward of $3,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for Thomas' slaying. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Norton Shores Police Department (231) 733-2691 or Silent Observer (231) 722-7463.
