MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan State Police say it will be a couple of months before the prosecutor ever sees reports from their investigation into the Muskegon Heights Police Department.

State police began investigating the department in March and found that evidence room is a mess and that some of money collected as evidence is missing.

"Realistically, we are looking at a couple of months before we will be able to have the Muskegon County Prosecutor take a look at (the reports)," Lt. Curt Schram of the Michigan State Police told 24 Hour News 8.

When the investigation is complete, the prosecutor will decide whether or not criminal charges are issued.
