1 person injured in house fire

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - One person was injured after his home caught fire.

The fire started Sunday morning at a home on Jefferson Street in Muskegon. Fire officials say the victim lived at the home alone.

According to the Muskegon Heights fire chief, the victim sustained some injuries and was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

Fire investigators are still working to determine how the fire started.

The Norton Shores Fire Department assisted the Muskegon Fire Department.
