DAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A vehicle struck two women outside a Montcalm County bar after a group of people got into a fight early Sunday morning.

The incident began around 12:30 a.m. with an argument at The Thirsty Parrot Bar, 4680 N. Sheridan Road in Day Township

Two people in the scuffle then got into a vehicle and started to drive away, and that is when two other people in the group were struck, police said.

The vehicle struck a 50-year-old Stanwood woman and a 23-year-old Stanton woman.

The Stanwood resident complained of pain and was going to seek her own treatment. The Stanton resident suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Sheridan Community Hospital.

The other people involved in the fight included a 32-year-old Stanton man and a 33-year-old Stanton woman.

Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.

The case has been forwarded to the Montcalm County Prosecutor's Office for review.
