STANTON, Mich. (WOOD) - A bar fight that escalated after a man left and returned with a gun ended with the 39-year-old beaten by other patrons and facing three felony charges.
Christopher Finney Jr., 39, was arraigned Monday for his role in the fight at the Sidney Tavern in Montcalm County.
Authorities said the fight began in the early morning hours of Sunday when Finney allegedly pulled out a three-inch knife during the fight, then left, went home, and came back with a .40-caliber semiautomatic pistol.
He put the gun down to begin fighting. A bystander picked up the gun, and other people then began beating up on Finney.
The fight was over by the time deputies arrived at the tavern.
He's charged with assault with a handgun, assault with a knife and using a firearm during a felony. He also had previous outstanding warrants.
He posted bond after his arraignment.
