LINWOOD, Mich. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says crews have rescued 10 people from two separate locations of unstable ice on Saginaw Bay.
The rescues took place Sunday night.
Six were rescued from the ice near Linwood. Two snowmobilers broke through the ice and two other people tried to rescue them. They all became stranded and the Coast Guard says they took shelter in an ice shanty before a crew arrived.
Four people also were rescued near Fish Point. Names of those rescued weren't released. They were evaluated medical personnel as a precaution.
On Friday, two groups of men riding snowmobiles were rescued from the ice on Saginaw Bay.
