Slushy side roads; power restored

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Many West Michigan side roads were slick after a mix of rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain blanketed the area Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning.

The snow already was wet and heavy. Here are some snowfall totals from this latest storm as of Wednesday morning --

  • 5.3 inches -- Allendale
  • 5 inches -- Ensley Township
  • 4.9 inches -- Muskegon
  • 4.5 inches -- Montague
  • 4.1 inches -- Yankee Springs
  • 4 inches -- Hudsonville
  • 4 inches -- Jenison
  • 3.7 inches -- East Grand Rapids
  • 3.5 inches -- Battle Creek
  • 3.3 inches -- Ada
  • 3.2 inches -- Comstock Park
  • 3.2 inches -- St. Johns
  • 3 inches -- Martin
  • 2.5 inches -- Walker
  • 2.2 inches -- Lansing

More than 38,000 Consumers Energy customers in Michigan were affected by power outages since Tuesday evening. The majority of the outages were restored Tuesday evening.
