GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Whatever is left of the freezing rain will change to rain this afternoon as the temperatures rise.
The rain will become lighter and more scattered through the afternoon, along with some drizzle. It will stay windy with easterly gusts over 30 mph at times. Air temperatures will climb into the upper 30s to near low 40s before starting a slow fall this afternoon.
Friday evening, colder air will begin to filter in and that will change the drizzle over to snow showers after sunset. The snow is not expected to be heavy, but roads may become slippery again with temps falling below freezing. By Saturday morning, we'll be in the mid-to-upper 20s, and it will still be breezy.
Snow showers Saturday will leave accumulations of 1 to 2 inches behind, with another 1 to 3 inches possible on Sunday. Temps will hold in the 20s, but wind chills will be in the teens.
Stay with Storm Team 8 for all the details on this system.
