GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The family of a woman murdered in 2007 is confident that police will find her killer. They're just hoping it happens soon.

60-year-old Janna Kelly was last seen before leaving work on Dec. 4, 2007. She was an insurance executive with Burr & Company Insurance.

The next day, her wallet and purse were found at a car wash on Burton SE, not far from her home. The following day -- Dec. 6, 2007 -- her car was found in the 2100 block of Plymouth SE.

Four months later -- March 13, 2008 -- her body was found in a wooded area near 160th Avenue and Pierce Street in Grand Haven Township.

"People say 'it will get easier.' I think it's getting harder," her niece, Jennifer Stanton, said.

No one has ever been arrested in connection with her murder.

"[The murderer] is out there and that's what is the hardest," another niece, Kirsten Bonnema, said. "They're out there living their life normally."

Stanton told 24 Hour News 8 on Sunday that authorities have been persistent in their investigation.

"They will not quit on it," she said. "Ottawa County has been amazing. By all means, they don't want to close it."

Stanton said that the people who care about Kelly haven't given up hope:

"We know it will be solved one day. We feel very confident in that," she said. "We just know somebody knows something."

The $50,000 reward offered by Burr & Company -- her business -- for information remains available.

Investigators continue to look into the case, and if you have any information, you're asked to contact the Grand Rapids Police Department at 616.456.3604, or Silent Observer at 1.866.774.2345.
