Bond and millage proposals dominate ballot

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Seven counties in West Michigan had elections Tuesday, mostly on millage and bond issues.

The operating millage renewals were on the ballot in Allegan, Calhoun, Montcalm and Newaygo counties. Bond proposals were on the ballot in Allegan, Montcalm and Oceana counties.

In Kent and Montcalm counties, voters decided building and site sinking fund issues in Lowell and Montabella.

And in St. Joseph County, voters weighed in on the appointment of a clerk and treasurer.
