Vehicle hits woman in middle of road

TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A vehicle hit a woman as she stood in a Kent County road, police say.

Mary Sutherlin, 59, of Marne, is in serious condition at a hospital.

The incident happened at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday on M-11 (Ironwood Drive) west of Windemere Drive in Tallmadge Township.

Irma Perez-Felix, 39, of Grand Rapids was driving east and hit Sutherlin who was in the middle lanes, according to police.
