WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - A Wyoming auto parts manufacturer will expand and add 150 jobs over three years due in part to an incentive from the state of Michigan and the city of Wyoming.

Undercar Products Group received approval for $475,000 from the Michigan Business Development Program and will move forward on a $26 million expansion at its facility at 4247 Eastern Avenue.

The state money was secured in a collaboration with The Right Place and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation . The City of Wyoming is expected to offer supporting local tax abatements for Undercar Products Group.

Their current building has 225,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The expansion will add another 90,000 square feet, with construction set to begin in mid-2013.

Undercar Products Group is a subsidiary of the privately-held Canadian company ABC Group , which has more than 25 manufacturing facilities around the world. Undercar Products Group began in 2001 and currently makes interior seat and windshield washer systems for the automotive industry.

In a statement, Susan Jackson of The Right Place said, "This announcement demonstrates that the automotive manufacturing industry is strong and growing in West Michigan. We are pleased to see 150 new jobs coming to our area."
