Woman stabs ex's current girlfriend

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman is in the Kent County Correctional Facility, accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend.

Wyoming police officers responded at 1:51 a.m. Tuesday to Metro Health Hospital on a report of a stabbing victim admitted to the emergency department.

Police learned of a 31-year-old woman from Wyoming suffered a non-life threatening wound.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the incident occurred in the 200 block of 44th St. SW, according to a news release.

Officers talked with witnesses and determined the identity of the suspect who was taken into custody at her residence.

The case will be presented to the Kent County Prosecutor's Office for review of appropriate charges.
