Police: Teen stabbed during altercation

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - An 18-year-old male is in serious condition at a hospital after being stabbed during an altercation, police said.

Wyoming police officers responded at 6:16 p.m. Sunday to an area near Madison Avenue SE and Wilbur Street on a report of a stabbing.

When they arrived they saw the Kentwood victim in the 200 block of Wilbur Street SE suffering from a serious stab wound to his abdomen, according to a news release.

He was treated by rescue personnel at the scene and transported to a hospital.

The victim told police he did not know the suspects whose descriptions were not released.
