KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was seriously injured when her car collided with a semitruck early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened about 12:44 a.m. at the intersection of 52nd Street and Broadmoor Avenue SE in Kentwood.
It appears the woman was driving east and her vehicle didn't stop at the flashing red light, police said.
The southbound truck driver was unable to avoid a collision and his rig struck her vehicle's driver-side door, pinning the woman inside her car.
The 22-year-old woman was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
The Kentwood Police Department is still investigating the wreck and would like witnesses to call 616.698.6580 to relay any more information.
