WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - Police blocked off a small area in Wyoming for an hour, after receiving a call of gunshots fired.

They responded to the southwest side of Burton Street and Osmer Avenue around 7:20 p.m. Monday.

Police said they still can't find a victim or suspect.

One witness told 24 Hour News 8 a man ran from the intersection while firing a pistol. Another witness said a man ran east on Burton Street, and then turned on Osmer Avenue where he lost a shoe, before jumping in the passenger side of a Jeep and sped away.

Police said they have conflicting reports of two possible vehicles that may have been involved in the shooting.

This comes after two other shootings within miles of each other earlier in the day.

Two people were shot around 3:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Griggs Street SW near Buchanan Avenue in Grand Rapids. They are listed in serious condition after suffering from gunshot wounds to their chests.

The first shooting happened at 2 a.m. near Burton Street and Division Avenue SE in Grand Rapids, resulting in two people dying and a third person being hospitalized.

Police are still looking for the suspects in each of the two previous shootings, which police told 24 Hour News 8 do not appear to be related.

If you have any information on any of these shootings you are asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 616.456.3604, the Wyoming Police Department  at 616.530.7226, or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
