WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - Wyoming police took a few people into custody after a teller at a Chase Bank was handed a suspicious note Saturday morning.
Police were called about 9 a.m. to the bank at 4333 S. Division Ave.
Police said a note was handed to a teller who believed the suspicious situation was a possible robbery taking place.
When they arrived on scene, officers set up a perimeter around the bank, located and took some suspects into custody.
No weapons were seen or implied; no money was obtained and no one was hurt in the incident.
Authorities talked to the people in custody and it was determined the suspicious activity was not a bank robbery. Police wouldn't give specifics in a news release, but said it turned into a citizen asking for police assistance.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Wyoming Police Department at 616.530.7300 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
