GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man suspected of dozens of home invasions in West Michigan is currently being held in the Kent County Jail on a parole violation as investigators from two counties continue looking into the cases.
Joseph John Hudson, 26, was found at his northwest-side Grand Rapids home Wednesday after police received a tip. At the time of his arrest, authorities said Hudson had several thousand dollars worth of items from recent home invasions.
On Feb. 14, 2012, he was paroled from Ottawa County after serving time for assault with a dangerous weapon in 2009. He was sentenced to 2-6 years for that crime.
Hudson spent time behind bars for other crimes as well:
In December 2005 he was convicted of unarmed robbery and sentenced to 2-15 years
In September 2003 he was convicted in Ottawa County of home invasion and sentenced to 2-15 years.
Detectives continue to investigate the current slate of home invasions in Ottawa County and his possible role in them. If you have any information, you're asked to contact Silent Observer.
