PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people were hospitalized after their vehicles collided head-on at a Kent County intersection Thursday.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Plainfield Avenue and Northland Drive NE in Plainfield Township.
One of the drivers did not stop at the traffic light, resulting in the collision, emergency crews at the scene told 24 Hour News 8.
First responders arrived and saw the driver of one of the vehicles "unresponsive." This victim was transported to a hospital for treatment to possible life-threatening injuries.
The other was also transported to a hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
Southbound Northland Drive was closed for about 90 minutes as crews cleared the scene.
