GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Jones family was at a Kentwood restaurant last weekend when a group of teens and adults began talking about them, laughing at them and taking cell phone pictures of them.

Some of the family members have neurofibromatosis , which causes nerve tissue to grow (usually) benign tumors all over a person's body.

The incident prompted Kari Jones to create and post a video to YouTube supporting her brother Kevin and her mother.

They shared their thoughts with 24 Hour News 8.
