16-year-old Darrius Watkins needed medication

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 16-year-old boy who walked away from an appointment at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids has been found safely.

Darrius Watkins of Plainfield Township disappeared around 4 p.m. Tuesday. He has multiple medical issues and is required to take daily medication.

Watkins was found in good health on Thursday, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Department. He has been returned to his family.
