Menards closing its Centerpointe store

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Citing a need to "find a site that fits our needs," company officials announced Tuesday the Menards store near Centerpointe Mall will close next month.

The complete statement from the spokesperson said:

"We love having stores in the Grand Rapids, Michigan market and appreciate all the loyal customers who continue to shop at Menards. Unfortunately we have outgrown our Grand Rapids East store that's located at 3639 28th Street SE and will be closing that store in March 29, 2013. We hope to replace this store with a new one but have yet to find a site that fits our needs, but we're still looking."
