GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kent City man admitted Monday to making up a story about the attempted abduction of his 2-year-old son.
Eugene Rose, 32, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor lying to a police officer.
In September 2012, Rose told authorities that a man tried to walk away with his 2-year-old son and that he fought with the man.
Later that month, Kent County Sheriff's Department officials said Rose had admitted to fabricating the story.
Sentencing is set for April 1.
