LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people were seriously hurt after three vehicles collided on a Kent County road Wednesday morning.
Two of the vehicles apparently collided head-on, police said, around 7:40 a.m. on Fulton Street (M-21) near Settlewood Drive SE in Lowell Township.
A man from Lowell was driving a red Ford Focus, which ended in the middle of the road, and a woman from Lowell was driving a beige Ford Focus, which ended off the side of the road. Rescue personnel had to extricate both drivers from their vehicles.
There is no information yet about the third vehicle involved or as to why the wreck occurred. Police told 24 Hour News 8 at the scene that it appears weather conditions were not a factor.
The road was closed until about 11:50 a.m.
