WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) - A company that announced in 2011 that it would be bringing more than 200 new jobs to West Michigan spent Saturday looking to fill those jobs.
Hundreds came out to Plasan Carbon Composites in Walker for a job fair. Officials at the company say they have a number of positions they need filled as they expand their company.
24 Hour News 8 spoke with company officials, who told us more than 400 people turned out for today's job fair. So many people came out that the company had to start interviews early.
The job fair took place at 3195 Wilson Drive North West in Walker inside the North Wilson Commerce Park. The company plan to hire about 50 to 60 people in 2012 and the rest of the jobs expected to be filled by spring 2013.
