GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man was sentenced Thursday for his part in a string of Kent County home invasions.
Samuel Domonique Gonzales III, 23, was sentenced to 210 days in jail with credit for 160 days he has already served. He'll also serve 60 months probation.
On May 23, Gonzales pleaded guilty to second-degree home invasion and a felony firearm charge.
He was arrested in early January after a standoff on Baldwin Street SE. In that incident, authorities recovered thousands of dollars' worth of stolen property.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department recovered jewelry, guns, ammunition, flat-screen TVs and other items that were all stolen from homes in Kent and surrounding counties.
Police say Daniel Shears, 32, was Gonzales's accomplice in the robberies. He turned himself in several days after the standoff.
