KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - A man in motorized wheelchair was struck by an ice cream truck as he crossed the street Sunday evening.
The man was trying to cross 44th Street SE along Breton Road from north to south when he was struck by an ice cream truck.
The driver of the ice cream truck said he did not see the man.
Kentwood police officers on the scene said that the man sustained minor injuries. He refused treatment by emergency personnel, but agreed to go to a hospital to get checked out.
Police say the driver of the ice cream truck was at fault and will be cited.
