Kentwood Sleep Inn robbed again
2nd time since May 18

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kentwood hotel has been robbed for the second time since last month.
It was about 1:40 a.m. Monday when officers were dispatched to the Sleep Inn & Suites at 4284 29th St. SE.
The clerk told 24 Hour News 8 the suspect did not have a weapon and fled with a small amount of cash.
Police have released no other details at this time.
The earlier robbery at this hotel occurred May 18, and is the fourth such crime in the area in recent time --
- Homewood Suites, 3920 Stahl Dr. SE in Grand Rapids, on May 22
- Ramada Plaza Hotel, 3333 28th St. SE in Kentwood, on May 29
Police said the same man committed the three earlier crimes. He has not been arrested yet.
It is not known if he is accused in Monday's crime.
