GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday mornings rose to the low to mid 90s in the afternoon across West Michigan.
It felt close to 100 degrees in most inland areas as heat index values were between 95-105 degrees.
The lakeshore communities were near 80 degrees.
This hot weather can be deadly if you're not careful.
So you must constantly hydrate by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, stay in air conditioning or go swimming if possible and wear plenty of sunscreen if you are going to be outside for long periods of time.
