CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The search continues for the driver and pickup truck accused of hitting a bicyclist on a Kent County road and leaving the scene.

Travis Dudley, 25, was riding a bike northbound along the west edge of the 9600 block of Hanna Lake Avenue SE in Caledonia Township Monday afternoon.

A southbound, white Ford F-150 approached and collided with the bicyclist, police said, resulting in the vehicle's passenger side mirror snapping off.

Dudley, from Caledonia, was knocked to the ground and suffered injuries to his right shoulder and upper abdomen.

Nearby residents tended to Dudley's injuries until police and rescue personnel arrived at 4 p.m. when he was transported to a hospital.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Kent County Sheriff's Department or Silent Observer at 616.774-2345.
