GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 41-year-old Grandville man pleaded guilty Monday to distributing child pornography on the Internet and faces at least five years in prison.
William Russell Odett was arrested after a May 2012 investigation let undercover officers download child porn he made available online. A search of his home computers found a substantial amount of child pornography, US Attorney Patrick Miles said in a release.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood , and investigators from the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office worked together.
Odett could spend up to 20 years in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender.
