WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) - Increasingly, all roads lead to a Fred Meijer trail.
With the ribbon-cutting on the Fred Meijer Pioneer Trail, there are now more than 11 Fred Meijer trails that span about 250 miles throughout West Michigan, officials said in a release.
This new trail intersects with the memorial park at the Meijer headquarters, 2929 Walker Avenue NW. A bronze sculpture of Fred Meijer sitting on a bench marks the spot, along with personalized bricks from supporters of the venture.
Meijer died Nov. 25, 2011 at the age of 91.
