Fire destroys Sparta home

SPARTA, Mich. (WOOD) - Fire destroyed a Sparta home late Saturday night, as crews worked into the early morning hours of Sunday to extinguish it.
Just before midnight, officials said, a home in the 12000 block of Long Lake Drive NW caught fire. It appears to have started in the chimney and then spread to the rest of the home.
No further information is available at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
