Witnesses reported hearing a small explosion before seeing flames shooting through the roof of the building.

The owner of the restaurant had closed earlier than normal Saturday, at around 5 p.m., so she could go to a wedding.

She was surprised to find what was left of the building when she arrived at the scene Sunday morning.

Fire officials are working to determine how the fire started.
