COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WOOD) - A kitchen fire in a second floor unit at York Creek Apartments caused water, smoke and flame damage to a few apartments, but no injuries.
Multiple fire departments went to the apartment building at 699 York Creek Drive in Comstock Park and quickly put out the blaze.
No one was in the apartment at the time of the fire, and everyone in that apartment building was safely evacuated.
The residents who were displaced from the fire will be allowed to stay in another furnished apartment at the complex until their own unit is cleared for living.
The cause of the fire is not yet determined.
