CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Imagine a plane crashing in a populated area; how would your county emergency crews respond?
During a mock training event, where a plane crash was simulated, 140 volunteers helped portray the injured while Kent County Emergency Responders reacted to the scene.
Local fire, law enforcement and Davenport University nursing students participated as well, putting out the fires and treating victims.
Farmers Insurance Group, along with Davenport University, helped coordinate the drill. Kent County is required to undergo these types of scenarios every 3 years.
