BYRON CENTER, Mich. (WOOD) - Massive billows of smoke poured from a freight carrier in Byron Center early Tuesday afternoon, blackening the sky for a brief period of time.
The fire at Dayton Freight, 8230 Clyde Park SW, could be seen for miles.
It was extinguished shortly after it began.
There is no cause yet identified, and no estimate of damage at this time.
Dayton Freight is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, but has 44 service centers in the Midwest. It delivers to the US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Guam.
