WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - Several Comcast customers said that during Floyd Mayweather Jr's fight against Miguel Cotto Saturday night, their pay-per-view cut out.
Most of the disgruntled customers we talked to were in Wyoming, but a couple were in Grand Rapids. They dropped about $60 to watch Mayweather, a Grand Rapids native, on pay-per-view.
"You get hyped up for a fight that you want to see," said Comcast customer Shaun DeWolf.
During the last six rounds and a unanimous decision on Saturday night, DeWolf said he and his family stared at a blank screen. He said they had to find out the fight's outcome from friends.
DeWolf said he called Saturday night when the fight went out. He claims a Comcast representative told him to call back Monday.
So far, DeWolf said, Comcast has not refunded his money. He told 24 Hour News 8 that's all he cares about.
"It's done and over with now," DeWolf continued. "But at least refund and give me a reason why it went out."
A Comcast spokesperson told 24 Hour News 8 there were no major outages Saturday.
She said the cases we brought up are most likely isolated, but she'll check into it to see if there was a widespread problem.
If this happened to you, she says to call customer service at 1-800-COMCAST or go online to file a complaint.
