GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Some cattle got loose on a West Michigan freeway after the semi-truck trailer hauling them overturned.
It happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday along M-6 near Kalamazoo Avenue, south of Kentwood in Kent County.
The driver was dazed but not injured, police told 24 Hour News 8.
The two wayward cows were corralled from the side of the highway.
The other 28 animals in the trailer were removed one-by-one, with help from other cattle farmers, and transferred to another trailer.
Traffic was slow for four hours as crews cleared the scene in the westbound lanes.
