PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 29-year-old man was injured after his SUV went airborne twice and crashed into a building in Kent County.
Aaron Hutchison from Coopersville suffered head and hand injuries. Police said it is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but said alcohol was possibly a factor.
He was driving his Ford Explorer just before 2 a.m. Sunday eastbound along Airway Street at a high rate of speed, according to a news release from the Kent County Sheiff's Department.
Hutchinson did not stop at the intersection of Plainfield Avenue, and his SUV went airborne onto Plainfield Avenue, hit a snowbank and went airborne again, and crashed into Select One Insurance.
It is not known if he will face charges in the incident.
